The teacher introduces things slowly, but he teaches you the basic ideas and techniques missing from the numerous other how to draw apps. There is a ton of content in the basic lesson set. But, Id still like to see more additions in areas like landscapes and animals.
The application does not provide the option to draw in the app during the lesson nor in app exercises to reinforce the lessons. But, there are many other apps that provide this. Beginners should try Draw This App for practice with geometric shapes and basic face details or the I Luv Drawing series for fun, simple figures based on basic it geometric shapes. I Luv Drawing People is good while you are still working on geometric shapes and basic movement. Lessons and exercises build off of each other and get more sophisticated as you progress. And I have come to appreciate having to use a pencil and paper during the lessons.
The lessons are worth many times the small fee for the application. Just look at the price of buying a book that covers similar material.
